about a week ago I bought my first car. To buy the car i had to go to a different state (Georgia but Im from North Carolina). So basically the guy had bought the car from an auction or through the auction and received the title and the bill of sale and everything, but what he failed to do when he bought it from the auction is write his name in the title and put the car in his name which means that technically the car was the shops. The problem is this, when were buying the car the title only had the shops name on it and when we bought the car the guy wrote his name as the buyer and not ours. If the guy didn't put the car or the title in his name after buying it from the shop how can i become the owner of the car with my name on the title

It's the sellers responsibility to provide a clean title.

He could (should) go back to the person who has their name on the title...
have them re-endorse (or get a replacement title) and make a new bill of sale.

As for you... get your money back and keep looking.

The car is a BMW M3 which has risen in price 4k ever since i bought the car and it will continue to do so. Is getting my money back completely necessary or is there a way around it? I heard there is a way to make a "bonded title". Do you know anything about that?

All that matters is the title is notarized and signed. People won't title the car under their name to save registration fees. Technically illegal but no one will know.
