The acute angles of Six Forks and the Beltline seem to possibly contribute more to the congestion in the area.

Not that this would change that, but how about capping the Beltline near the Renaissance Hotel with a park it greenway so that the Beltline didn't seem like such a hard barrier that's not part of a walkable neighborhood which has been created.

I get uncomfortable just looking at the map of this area, especially that constricted, weird ramp.

My comment pertained to the Iron Works development by Grubb - Jamestown which is off of Atlantic Avenue. Regarding the North Hills redevelopment of the JC Penny area, boy that's packing a lot of stuff in. A greenway would probably eat up too much valuable real estate. Kane does like his density.

The only grassy park that I am aware of is the fake artificial turf on the east side development, and the small section of fake grass on the main (west) development , near Starbucks. Shame they didn't put real grass and trees at these locations.

The people living in the older houses on Lassiter Mill, across from the current Penneys, are in for a serious change of landscape.

That's a cool shot. I like the view of all the buildings, looks real city-like. I hope the number of buildings expands out a bit so this view is available more and more around the city.

RTP going vertical.

https://www.newsobserver.com/news/bu...239716623.html

Dallas based developer KDC is being tasked with the project "Hub RTP." Includes plans for over a million sqft for the two initial office towers with potential plans for more. The two towers are likely to be differents heights but both up to 25 floors.

"The project is seen as a chance to turn nearly 100 acres of an aging office park into an urban town center, with new offices, apartments and hotels, shopping and green space."

Sounds like this thing could go up to six million square feet upon complete build out. Very impressive.

KDC is now marketing the Elizabeth tower that has been quiet for some time. It would be nice if this comes to fruition.
