It is different and it looks good. A win for Hillsborough Street.

Latest on the new Duke Tower: 600+ feet. Should get going in Fall.

That’s around the same time BofA Tower will probably be topped off at 656 feet tall.

The design for the new Duke Tower will resemble the current Duke Tower without the handle bar. 4 point tips cutting the top out like a triangle. It’ll be sorta like this building if you just made the spires triangular

It's Harrelson Hall 2.0!

Minus, of course, the storied reputation of the restrooms!

That circular extrusion just isn't my favorite shape, and it prevents every sq. foot inside to be utilized to its maximum potential.

Jes my opinion.

I guess what I'm trying to point out is that Charlotte's view of the rest of the state is the people and industries around the Triad, Charlotte and points West only, and these areas aren't representative of the state as a whole.

Not much is the same in the poor, rural counties from Asheboro to the Coast.

The accents are different, the farming crops are different, and challenges are different.

Not better or worse, just different.

Extreme Northeast NC counties are considered to have the worst economic outlooks for that side of NC.

Worldwide people are flocking to cities for jobs, and the towns that flourish and the ones that die are a fluid process.

Every place that was settled and framed 200 years ago can't all flourish, and that's ok.

Not trying to be negative but I abhor buildings with multiple tops and minaurettes (sp).

Pittsburgh has one, and I don't that Nashville building with 2 antennae either!

No, please change the top!

It's very popular in urban areas. See all the posh circles in DC, including Dupont Circle, Logan Circle. It has modernist, hipster chic appeal.
