Thank God for them that Raleigh, Cary and Durham which all touch each other are separate figures.

Some of Durham is in Wake County and some of Raleigh extends into Durham County.

Between 63 and 68 people move to Wake County every day, probably the same for Mecklenburg.

Who cares... everyone knows the city limits.

It is funny that no one says anything about Jacksonville, Fla. 874.64 sq. miles of city limits.

That’s not development. You’re going to derail the thread.

I was actually about to bring that up like i usually do lol. City rankings based on city limit populations is always such a joke of a stat. Its never apples to apples. Jacksonville is a great example of that. And everyone knows Charlotte isn't in the same sentence as San Francisco and Raleigh isn't close to Atlanta or Miami lol. I feel bad for the average person that might look at a "biggest cities in America list" and think that it tells the whole story.

Good new for the Triangle in the Amazon hunt? With Apple looking good for now. Could the Triangle especially Raleigh alone handle both? Or would it just be too much at once?

I saw an article, can't find it now, that stated if Raleigh were to land Amazon housing costs in the city would skyrocket 33%. And that was just with AMZN I believe. If Raleigh were to land both, lets just say it would easily make it one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive city in the south.

Yeah, there goes the COL reason for moving to the triangle. LOL.

I genuinely feel like we have a better then not chance at Apple. Amazon i genuinely feel like its not likely. Both? No way. Especially since Raleigh would be the focus for both i just dont see us being able to handle both. I dont usually take that position but growth at that rate imo would adversely affect Raleigh for the general populous more then help it. Though it would amazing seeing Amazons development downtown and a new apple campus in RTP.
