Agreed. I have a rental in Avery County near Crossnore, and during the time I was working on it this summer, it never got above 78. And it tended to cool off quickly in the evenings. It would have been great up there in the summer if that little house had air conditioning!

On these days where it was 78 in Avery Co, it was 95+ in Catawba.

Now that would be nice. I could deal with that easily. Cooling off at night makes a big difference. Ugh 95, blech!!! I can't even handle 85, lol. Mid 70's is my upper comfort level. I know, I'm a big baby .

Thank you so much for your kind offer. But I'm not in a position to buy anything as my income is only SS of $729 a month. I'm aiming at subsidized housing for the elderly. I'm going to get ready to go fax my application to one of those in small town eastern Oregon. Because of the snow down here the ups store is closing at 3pm. So I'd better get moving .
