Hmmmmm? I wonder who is funding this silliness?

NC public schools would have to post 'In God We Trust' signs under proposed bill

Lol! I support this. Since when is our national motto divisive as this article claims?

At a time when teachers are being underpaid this all seems like a total waste of money to me.

Statement of opinion

Anyway if the national motto is unconstitutional then say is the pledge of allegiance which is something they made us all say when I was in school

Furthermore from a civics perspective as the constitution is framed around God. “The creator” is mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. As long as it doesn’t mention Jesus as our savior or the Shadahah I think it’s ok

Mostly I just hope folks get real mad

Honestly, I'm not looking at the religious side of this. I'm truly curious about who is funding this and why is this type of wasteful spending (at every school) needed. Funds that are allocated towards education shouldn't be wasted on stuff like this.

I have no problems with the religious billboards and yard flyers that I see throughout the state. That type of activity is protected by the constitution. I have no issues with private restaurants placing bible verse references on their styrofoam cups. That's also protected legal activity.

This on the other hand seems like education funds being spent on a politically motivated cause. You say "I just hope folks get real mad". My question is "can't a god debate with the intent of making folks mad come from the appropriate funds for such things"?

Our national motto is e pluribus unum.

The rest of this foolishness comes from Joe McCarthy & his attack on this country. If you're a fan, mazel tov. I actually remember the McCarthy hearings. They were televised. I'm not a fan.

Every penny spent on this could be spent more productively elsewhere. Uhm . . . school supplies come to mind.

You have just made a case for increasing the funding for NC schools. If you don't know our national motto, E pluribus unum, then it's likely the bill's supporters don't either
