Default Vote IF

Great!! I hope it makes it on the ballot and passes. Idiotic not to have to an ID to vote.

Anytime there's a proposal to amend the constitution, because of its higher likelihood of permanence, it needs a higher level of scrutiny than legislation, which also needs scrutiny.

Given the track record of the cheerleaders for this, and the history of similar legislation being adjudicated unfavorably, I am skeptical of the motivation behind such an amendment.

This is only to energize the conservative base to get out and vote. It is like the Same Sex Amendment they put out during the 2012 Primary, when the Progressive had less of a reason to vote, because Obama was on his reelection campaign.

Well if it passes, that'll be another nail in the coffin for attracting businesses like Amazon and Apple to NC! We'll be seen as just another "Bubba state" and high-tech companies will look for more progressive pastures! How much did HB2 cost NC? These RWNJ politicians never learn!

I just love the way people blow up the evil thought process of showing an ID so you prove you are who you are before you take the serious step of voting.

What's so horrible about being who you are? What's so devious about being asked to prove who you are?
Stop putting racial and economic markers on such a simple request.

Only the cheaters don't like it, otherwise I wish (in a pipe dream) that all 50 states adopts something like this.

So lets see, we have been voting for over 240 years without having to show an ID and not once in those 240 years has there been overwhelming proof that there is widespread or even more than a few cases of voter fraud but yet if you listen to Republicans, voter fraud is everywhere. There is no other reason for voter ID except to exclude certain individuals who normally vote Democrat from voting.
