Hello everyone. New to the forum.

My husband and I are looking to relocate
to NC from South Florida. We are an interracial
couple (I’m black and my husband is Hispanic)
with 3 kids, an 8, 6, and 1 yo. I work in the health
industry as a scrub tech/sterile processing tech
and my husband, an electrician.
We plan to rent just to get a feel of the place
before purchasing our home.
We’re looking for a nice diverse family oriented
neighborhood to raise our kids. Areas I’ve looked were
Garner, Clayton
and Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina which are
on the opposite side. We’d prefer living outside
city limits but still have the convenience of
having stores, shopping close by.
I’ll be working 3rd shift so traffic may not be an issue. Still, I’d
prefer living in a neighborhood where commuting
into Raleigh–Chapel won’t be a pain if I were to
Find work in those areas. Are there hospitals in
Clayton, Garner, Holly Springs or FV? It’s seems
There all in RDU, Chapel Hill area.
Also, what’s traffic like heading towards Fort Bragg
area for my husband’s job.
Thank you

I can give you some broad answers but the Triangle forum can give you better ones

//www.city-data.com/forum/ralei...pel-hill-cary/

All of those towns are diverse but morso Holly Springs

There is a Wake Med Hospital outside of Clayton and a Wake Med Hospital in Cary which isn't far from Holly Springs

If you are living in Holly Springs for Fuquay you take 401 which is a 2 lane rd all the way to Fayetteville, otherwise use 40, 95, and 295

Plan for at least one of you to have a solid job offer before showing up.
And with that anchor choose a rental and expand to finding the other job.

Wherever that might turn out to be (likely in/near one of the cities) is where all the rest will be.
Once in place for some time... THEN you explore your options to choose other employers/towns/etc.
That is when you can look to buy.

MrRational, thanks. Yes, I plan to secure a job prior
to move. I’ll be a travel scrub tech. Right now I’m permanent
with my current employer. But my agent at the agency has a number
Of hospitals lined up for when I’m ready to travel.
We plan to rent for a good year or so.

Thanks once again
