Not defending him but..... There is some weird law on the books that protects senators and congress from the laws against insider trading. Obama passed a law to prohibit that, but somehow was re instituted a year later if I recall correctly.

So true sb! He did come off as a bit more "dignified" than Tillis who had a few "rocky" and "down and dirty" periods in the state legislature. I hope these crooked Sons of Attila the Hun become nearly forgotten footnotes to NC political history ....ASAP.

I remember my mother watching the Watergate hearings. Senator Sam (Ervin) was a highlight to everyone. We need to elect senators like him.
