hi im mike from jersey city and my family and i are thinking of relocating to lillington north carolina im a realestate agent how is the realestate business there .
I have not seen any comments on towns north of Raleigh such as Youngsville, Franklinton, and beyond? any thoughts on the areas north, northeast, and northwest of the city?
Similar to the southern Wake and Harnett areas. Wake Forest and beyond is hopping with a new Wal-Mart and Super Target plus all the stores that follow them in. There is aslo a new large regional mall in north Raleigh near Wake Forest. Outside of northern Wake county the other counties are starting to develop. The first part of the "Outer Loop" runs just south of Wake Forest and connects these areas to norhern and western Wake. The north to east leg is being worked on now and will connect the northern part to eastern Wake county. The southern loop may be finished in my lifetime. It will pass about five miles north of Fuquay Varina. There is already residential development planned to take advantage of this but is a ways away.
Lillington is in Harnett County, which is the sixth fastest growing county in NC. Fort Bragg is expanding and the military housing growth is booming. Fort Bragg is 20 miles from my house. There is also plans for a major highway to be constructed that will link Fayetteville and Raleigh.
