If you have a valid absentee request on file with your county board of elections, you can use the new North Carolina BallotTrax. Once you register and log in, you can track the status of your mail-in ballot, from printed to accepted. Check the below to do so, and check the NC Board of Elections website for good information regarding absentee balloting this year, which already has occurred with more than 10,000 voters in the state, according to the Associated Press.

What happens if you vote early absentee and then watch the debates and change your mind because of the candidates performance or learn more about their platform and tax plans? Can you change your vote?

No, you cannot change your vote. Keep the ballot until you feel sure.

Username checks out.

No, it's illegal. Don't do it no matter what President says. Obviously he doesn't know the laws. If it comes out -- and it surely will based on how everyone is so tense about the elections this year - it'll be a felony. You can also drop off absentee ballot application and absentee ballots at the board of elections if you don't want to mail them. I believe they are also doing drive through drop off in some board of elections. Call and double check.

That ballot tracker worked very well. And very fast. Good job to someone tying in county voting orgs with the state. Confidence booster.
