Please tell me what you would suggest as the "perfect town" (or subdivision, etc) for us to live in.. Here is the background info:

DH is considering a transfer to Cary, NC. We are a younger family (early and mid 30's), and have 4 children, 6,6,5, and 3. The school system is obviously important, as is a nice neighborhood where our kids could "walk to their friends house". Ideally, any HOA fees would go towards something like a community pool, fitness center, etc. His salary will most likely double, but we would probably be looking at a modest home ($300K or so) to start until we know a bit more about his job, the area, etc etc. A commute is not a problem, but 30 minutes would be a good line to draw for length.

So, where would you put us??

Cary, Morrisville, Apex.
$300,000 will get you into something decent, and you will have good schools and the options of communities with or without HOA's and community pools.

Let me know if I can help further.
