Get out there and vote! Quick question though, anyone have a good site that lists the local only voting we have to do? I'm new to the area and want to be educated about my picks!

ALSO this thread is not meant to start debating about candidates. Just information on where we can find out about the candidates and make our own choices/opinions.

They have fliers at the polling station with information about the candidates. It has each of their submitted statements about their education, proposals and experience. I found it helpful when submitting my ballot.

Depending on your county of residence, you should be able to view a sample ballot from your local Board of Elections that you can print and take to the polls. Their web site may also have links to organizations like the non-partisan League of Women Voters for basic information on the candidates and local referendums.

You might want to look at the picks of The Independent, the weekly newspaper in the Triangle. I don't agree with several of their picks, but they do explain their rationale and they cover all the races. Independent Weekly
