Hi everyone, I would like your opinions on which place would be better to move to considering schools for my middle school child, and teaching jobs/salaries in both places. Also I would like to be close to a university to further my graduate education. Any opinions on the two areas would be appreciated!
Thanks
To my knowledge, UNC-Charlotte only has a handful of PhD programs, if any at all. They only very recently started any graduate studies at all. There aren't really other great programs in the area for graduate studies, either.
Raleigh, on the other hand, has 3 major universities within 30 minutes with heralded graduate studies programs. There's a reason the RTP area has the highest number of PhD's per capita than any other place in the country.
I grew up in Charlotte. I live in the triangle. I hated Charlotte growing up. I like the triangle. It's a very good place for a family.
BTW, UNC has an excellent psychology department as well as a very highly regarded Education department.

Thanks for the information, regarding UNC in Raleigh area, that would be UNC Chapel Hill, right? Or is there another location in that area?
