Smile Info on Raleigh

I have been here for five long years, and am glad to be moving to Phoenix this year. If you are coming here, to Raleigh, at least your husbund is in Medecine, the only jobs around. Look for Raleigh, North of 540 near the 401 Hwy, you will hve no problem finding a home, and the Town Center Mall is less than 10 minutes away. I have 2600 square ft with two fireplaces and would be hard pressed to get 210K now and its only 3 years old. Wake County is laying off teachers and there is a general hiring freeze on for the state and city. We are now number two in umemployment, Raleigh is very different from other parts of NC, about 70% of the people here have a Bachelors, I only have an AA, and was told I dont have enough education to find work.
We Move to Phoenix soon with wife company, will not be sorry to go. As for Charlotte, I hear the crime is much worse, check out Mecklenburg County Info.

check out the population figures for Wake and Mecklenburg County, you will see they are almost identical, Raleigh has suburbs, Charlotte does not, the city population is higher in Charlotte thats all.

I am guessing that he/she meant that much of Charlotte's burbs are outside Mecklenburg Co. Most of Raleigh's burbs are immediately adjacent to Raleigh within Wake Co. Raleigh is pretty much hemmed in by big burbs that have their own growth agendas. Cary has been the perfect example of this over the last several decades. They have 135,000 people and many of them live closer to DT Raleigh than people who actually live in the city of Raleigh in another direction.

Wake County
population 900,000
832 sq./mi of land

Meck County
population 925,000
526 sq./mi of land

Imagine what an extra 300 sq./mi of land would do to Meck county's population. Or better yet, what would 300 fewer sq./mi of land do to Wake county's population.

The suburban counties (that Charlotte doesn't have ) are the fastest growing counties in their respective states (York county South Carolina and Union County North Carolina).

This is due to the fact that Meck has nearly 60% less land than Wake. As a result, Charlotte has caused two neighboring counties to boom.

No one cares about that... Okay Charlottes a bit larger and centralized. Who cares? Moving to another city, tedious statistics comes in dead last when making my decision.
