Does NC have a property tax on cars? Some states do and some states do not. If NC has one, does anyone know what the rate is? Thanks!

Yes, the annual local property tax applies to motor vehicles, homes, land, watercraft, trailers, and aircraft. The tax rate varies greatly throughout the state.

including county tax, fire district tax, school district tax, sewer district tax, municipality tax and probably anything they can think of. Some areas also include an additional "vehicle fee", such as Asheville.
