That was also my suspicion.

Everybody is replaceable, see Ronald Reagan…he fired damn near every air traffic controller…over 10,000 in one day and band them from being rehired. You go gurl, clean house like Reagan

THat said, writing the Police Chief up for tardiness for not being at his desk at 8:00 AM despite being in the building, and writing him up for socializing with citizens of the town (in a town of 2000 people) is indicative of either an extreme personal bias against the man, or the uniform, AND a clear misunderstanding of the dynamics of working in a small town.

And if you read the details of Jones' former lawsuit against Columbia SC, it doesn't cast her in a good light either.
So, you really believe that BS? I think you underestimate the dynamics of the situation, so did the Sheriff. It’s always interesting to me, the “group” quit to make a statement….nobody really gives a damn, the replacement hunt starts as soon as you leave, the show will go on.

Y'all, things have been messed up in Kenly for awhile. The WHOLE police department was under investigation by the SBI in 2019. I would not lay this all at the feet of the Town Manager.

In most organizations a manager that had that happen to them would be relieved as well. It's demonstrative of poor leadership.

Thank you, Poppy. People in here are just blinded by their own biases and are just flinging excrement at the wall hoping it sticks.

An investigation requested in part by the Police Chief of his own department...

He hasn't worked there in 15 years. He was fired in 2007.

She sounds like a real winner. Here's the homework that should've been done before she was hired.
