Question, I have outstanding tickets, I am a single parent no income. I am looking for work but I have been severely delayed due to health issues. I want to know if one of you can help me, I am looking for legal advice, that can help me take care of these tickets in the state of North Carolina, I don't know where to go or whom to ask, I am limited on income. My tickets are not only in my county so how can I run a wide search specially if some are misplaced.

This is a social services issue if not the family.

The Court System has THEIR info. Start there; maybe the online website.
You might have to use mail or go in person in some places.

I am limited on income.
The public defenders office should/might be able to arrange a guilty plea that might also help to
A) minimize the penalties ($$) that YOU WILL PAY at some point, and
B) set up some sort of payment schedule that might actually settle it all in a couple of years.

That's called hiring a lawyer. Not cheap.

Depending on the nature of the tickets...please give us some idea....parking, or 95 in a 45 mph zone sort of thing.....the public defender will talk with the DA and things will get reduced to a simple pay a few dollars, or the complaints will be dismissed altogether.

Work the phones if you can't physically be present for conversations......

Really? I am asking for referral help in the event someone in NC knows, like a Probono Lawyer. I am not looking for a hand out just someone that can help me lower the fees, possible points and that can take a fraction of the cost in service.

Start with calling a lawyer, ANY lawyer. If your tickets are in NC, you have already received a dozen or more solicitations.

If you’re on a limited income start with changing your behavior so you don’t end up in this position again. Seriously how many tickets are you going to have to get?

You might start here if indeed you are in the Winston Salem area-

Legal aid provides free services for civil matters to low income people.
