Our CPI, siren alarm has been going off a few times in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. It does not notifiy CPI, because they do not call us, the siren just goes off. Very Scary,,,,,armed with bat in had to beat the ....... out of someone and it is a false siren. Contacted CPI,, tested system over phone, all is working. What could cause it.. to just go off ????

So . . . I am assuming you don't have a motion detector, as that would be the first thing I would think of . . .

If you don't have a motion detector, then I would look at all the contacts for windows and/or doors and see if something is not quite contacting right . . .

And you say this is only happening at nite - never in the day????

Pets sleeping against a window or door and causing the contact to shift???

Ghosts??????!!!!!!! j/k

Every so often my speaker will make a funny noise or someone will say "Hello" or something and scare me half to death. I called CPI and they tested it also and didn't find anything wrong either.

Frankly it doesn't happen that much to me so I just deal with it.
