Yes, it's true. We keep moving further South to avoid the Megopolis of Washington DC and Charlotte. they'll eventually be one! We started out in Indiana, moved to Lorton, VA, then to Woodbridge, VA then Safford, VA, but the hordes of Yankees kept following. Now that we've retired, we're moving to Lincoln Co. NC. I guess Lincolnton or Denver would be the closest towns; we're going to have a house built in a little "community" off of Union Chapel Road. I think it's called Arbor Hills. Now wwe have to find a place to rent that will allow dogs--big dogs. We'd hoped to find a farm to rent or to look after that would allow us to have the pets while the house is being built. This is getting harder by the minute!

Interestingly enough, my family started out in Virginia and North Carolina in the 1700s, so I'm just coming back home. Thing is, I don't really know if we're closer to Denver or to Lincoln. Also we don't know much about the towns, other than they are small, which we like. We had satrted looking at Mt. Holly and Belmont, but just didn't have any luck. We really liked the small town feeling, though. I'm not sure what we are getting into in Denver or Linclon. the internet doesn't give a whole lot of information.

Hope y'all can give me some advice!
