Where do you live? It's 8:06am. I live just north of the speedway here in Concord (a Charlotte suburb) and it's coming down pretty hard with 1.5" on the ground. Our street is completely covered. My boys are dying to go out, it's been a couple of years. Have fun and be safe!!

A few years ago, we had a huge storm that dumped 12" here at my house, but south Charlotte, Rock Hill, Matthews got anywhere from 18"-24". That was wild!! That kind of storm rarely happens, but does about every 10 years or so. On a 30-year average, the Charlotte area gets about 6" per winter. Enough to be pretty and fun for the kids, but not enough to end up hating it.

Hi all,
I'm soooo disappointed. As you probably know I'm in Rutherford County (base of the western NC mountains) and we have nothing but sleet and freezing rain. My husband works in Greenville and they on the other hand have 4" inches of the white stuff...

I remember the big snow in CLT a few years ago. My husband and I lived in CLT until 2004 when we moved here and there hasn't been a decent snowfall here since....

Coming from NY, this is a light dusting for me but I love it! My dog was crying by the kitchen door watching the snow fall this morning. He couldn't wait to get out there & make angels in the snow, he loves it! The cat was out there playing with him. The backyard looks beautiful with the snow cover.

One of my son's friends came over to the house, she was so excited. She's never seen snow fall before. All the kids are outside sledding down the hill in the common area, all you hear is screaming & laughing.

Go out & play & have some fun if you can!
