I'm also looking to move to NC from CT. Too expensive here. What are some thoughts on the Raleigh area for a 30 year old single woman - safe area near Raleigh, administrative jobs, etc. Thanks!

We are leaving Connecticut soon to move to North Carolina, north of Winston Salem.....Look at this area also. The area is growing and will probably take off soon. It is also the least expensive place to live.....Raleigh or the "Triangle" is also good as there are many opportunities. It all depends on what you are seeking... Good luck in your journey.

I'm not sure what kind of admin work you're looking for, but I'm sure you could find something near downtown. There are fabulous areas where you could safely live and walk to work, shopping, and entertainment. Are you looking for a house, condo/townhouse, or apartment? I would recommend starting near North Hills, where there's mixed use development and housing (all types), convenient to downtown.
If you're looking for a more quiet suburban setting, the area abounds with those, too.
