Has anyone who is from out of state ran into problems with getting an oil change? I have out of state plates and have not yet transfered everything over. I am still in the 60 day time frame though. Also, b/c I do not have NC plates, I do not have NC inspection. A few years ago a friend of mine ran into this problem - anyone?

I have no clue why your friend had a problem. Maybe he was at an inspection station/oil change place and they were just trying to pressure him to do the inspection. But in general, there is no way the folks at an oil change place should care WHERE your plates are from.

Uhhh...what?

A oil change has nothing to do with anything about vehicle registration. Your friend is missing parts of the story.
