Hi all. In case anyone was collecting and their benefits ran out....The Senate just ok'd the bill proposed in October...Bush said he'd sign it today or tomorrow...bc NC's unemployment rate for the last 3 months averages more than 6%, you're entitled to 13 more weeks. If you're collecting from another state you might only get 7 weeks if the average is less than 6% (might be 6% or less).

Best of luck...

Im confused as I thought I was already getting the 13 weeks. My 20 something weeks ran out in Sept. and then now i'm getting an additional 13 which runs out in Dec.

Well, when that 13 weeks runs out in December, you're getting 7 more weeks (if your paying state avg 6% unemployment for the last 3 months) or 13 more weeks if you're in NC...So happy holidays to you!
This is a brand new extension just passed today....my extension ran out 1 1/2 months ago...so I'll be getting 7 more bc I'm collecting from NY...
