Hickory or Greensboro (Rockingham: real estate, insurance, employment)

Help I need some advise.
I am relocating next month to NC. I still can't decide on wich area. I want to live in a more rural area, but I also need a decent job. Hickory appeals to me, but there are employment concerns. Greensboro I think has more jobs, but may be too urban for me. My work experience has been mostly in the medical insurance/billing area, along with some real estate . I have pets so I want a couple of acres. Where should I search?
I have also sent out resumes, but have had no responses for jobs that I am well qualified for.

There are some nice rual areas in the Greensboro area. Northern Randoph county and north of Greensboro going into Rockingham County are both nice.

go with your gut ! hickory area is the next boom are thats coming when 16 opens up all the way in a few years. the thing i learned here is you have to adjust your job to whats around here. you will do just fine if you have good work ethics there is the same problems here as any place else about people not wanting to go to work. good luck !!!!!!
