charlotte is the largest city in thecarolinas..but I guess raleigh has the research triangle park name to it. We just drove thru charlotte....and what a beautiful skyline..seemed to us a very hip and modern city...again....didnt drive downtown..but the skyline and infrastructure looked nice...not to mention that its the second largest concentration for the banking industry in the country...so I would think that its a great place of for the IT industry..

I'm assuming he'd be looking for a exec or senior mgmt position. Have you thought about an exec placement firm? Typically you won't find those jobs listed in the newspaper as most companys go out and hire a exec search firm to find their senior level candidates.

Mike-yes, I am aware that most jobs he would be looking for are not generally found on the internet - most jobs at this level are obtained with a firm (that is how he got th eone he is now) but I was just trying to see where the market is for this type - or any rec firms? most only concentrate on one area so (either charlotte or rtp area) any firms in either areas anyone can recommend...funny though when we did a salary search, sal in Charolotte is a few thousand more then raleigh
