These numbers are so depressing. We moved here back in September for my husband to start a new job, just closed on a home and had a new baby, only to have my husband laid off last week; exactly 6 months later. We're one month into a new mortgage and are really stressed out about how we're going to find a job now - it seems like it might be impossible here. I don't want to think about the financial hit we'll take though if we need to sell a home only a few months after buying it; not to mention I love this house. Hopefully things will pick up soon.

You are in good company. Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best.

But really, prepare for the worst.

Correct me if im wrong, but I can see N.C. becoming way overpopulated and have many jobless people. But if this recession turns into a depression then N.C. won't be the only state that will be jobless anyway.
