These numbers are so depressing. We moved here back in September for my husband to start a new job, just closed on a home and had a new baby, only to have my husband laid off last week; exactly 6 months later. We're one month into a new mortgage and are really stressed out about how we're going to find a job now - it seems like it might be impossible here. I don't want to think about the financial hit we'll take though if we need to sell a home only a few months after buying it; not to mention I love this house.

Hopefully things will pick up soon.

Correct me if im wrong, but I can see N.C. becoming way overpopulated and have many jobless people. But if this recession turns into a depression then N.C. won't be the only state that will be jobless anyway.
