It would be helpful if you would be a bit more specific in your postings. North Carolina is a huge state (48,711 square miles) with 100 counties. How many different answers do you want? The answer to your public school air-conditioning question is yes and no.

I wansn't meaning to ask if they are cruel, we have no ac's in our school and early start of the year sept and june, it get unbearable for the kids so I was just curious.

No matter where you decide to live, sooner or later you children WILL experience people with firm beliefs that do not perfectly align with yours. Best to teach them to live in the real world now. Tolerance does not mean social clones. I grew up in the south (live in Cali now). I had tatoos. Some people liked them. Some did not. Guess what! It's the same thing in Cali. Same thing with religion, sexuality, etc. It sounds like you are being the intolerant ones. Maybe you could start a commune for like minded individuals. Best of luck.

Yea Tristan - I have 2 tattoos and it's funny to see peoples reaction when you "don't fit in the norm". I just find life very entertianing. If I didn't, I would sure be stressed out right now!
