Thanks, it's my favorite CSX locomotive, probably of all the class ones.
I THINK it's headed south tonight on Q411 back to Waycross, Georgia?
I'm sure once it gets back to Waycross it will get put back into storage.
When it sees daylight again is anyone's guess? It's really a
shame that CSX painted three special schemes and they are all awesome
only to have them sitting in storage. At least I got to see in on the rails!

The Mustang was nothing but pure luck, but I'll take it!

I did a search and there aren't many in the "wild" shots of CSX911 in the new paint scheme. Plenty in the old paint.

I looked it up, the new paint was applied in mid-2019 at the CSX Huntington, WV locomotive shop.

Thanks for the post, (and the Mustang shot).

Random train pics...

Amtrak train P073 in China Grove, NC.

A south bound train coming toward me with a clear signal for a
north bound train in Fayetteville, NC. Life is Good!

A drive by shot at 60 mph of some foreign power on CSX (which is rare these days)
in Fort Bragg, NC.

Norfolk Southern train 218 in Greensboro, NC.

One I missed in High Point, NC. I did get the DPU however.

Norfolk Southern train 217 passing through Greensboro, NC on it's way to Chicago.

I wished I lived in the mountains like this, much less that close
to Grandfather Mountain. This is nice!

Hey folks! I had to share some of the foliage shots from this past weekend. This is one of the reasons we love living in NC. There's nothing quite like the Blue Ridge. We took a casual drive up to the BR Parkway Saturday and hit some overlooks near Bluff Mt and found the Doughton Park area, which is a hidden gem with awesome views!
