Some big names also comes to the N Club in downtown Greensboro. The N Club is a part of the House of Blues network so some acts that you would see at the House of Blues, you will see at the N Club.
a few nightlife scenes in downtown greensboro
This is no slight toward Gboro, but I've experienced nightlife in both cities, there is no comparison. Raleigh hands down. Greensboro nightlife is more comparable to Durham IMO. Raleigh is also a lot larger than Gboro.
I have been contemplating a move to either Raleigh or Greensboro and would like to know in anybody's personal opinion which city would be better to live in. I am single and I want to know which city would be good in terms of nightlife, jobs, etc.
Greensboro has a higher female to male ratio (UNC-G) The coffee shop on Tate St. is a good morning destination, if you are into live theatre, there is a lot to offer and it is a lot easier to navigate around in GSO than Raleigh, tis better laid out. and the coliseum draws great talent on a regular basis. The Arts tend to be a big thing in GSO as well, and street festivals, et al. It also does not have a high Politician/sq mile density. For some reason, this always made me feel safer.
Hello...1985 is calling. It wants its upscale retail chain back.
That's funny. Brooks Brothers have been in the Raleigh area for probably about 25 years. I've never considered them upscale however.
Greensboro was larger than Raleigh up until 1985. Since then, Raleigh has left G'boro in the dust. 400,000 vs 260,000, not to mention the size of Raleigh's (UA) Urban area is much larger by almost 300,000 people...
Raleigh also has a much larger singles scene, and is also rated one of the top single's spots in the nation, hence the reason there is more night life in Raleigh.
