We see filming crews in Union County quite a bit. We don't even pay attention to it anymore unless it causes us problems. We had to take a different route to breakfast last Tuesday because there were signs up warning that traffic could be delayed going through Waxhaw. We drove into Charlotte using another road and then forgot to miss the area going home after our trip to Sam's in Pineville. Luckily we just saw the groups gathering near the fire department and the road was not blocked but the law enforcement was there ready to stop traffic if needed.

The Stephen King thriller, "Under the Dome," a tv mini-series, premiered last night, is filming in/around Wilmington.

I have some friends that have hooked up with one of the casting agencies down there, and they've worked quite a bit in some TV shows & movies. They've been in "Revolution," "Safe Haven," "Iron Man," and a few more.

That's because anyone can be an extra...it doesn't take a skill or a lot of effort.
