My Family is planning a move to NC. from Ohio next June and are coming to look at a few cities to live in. I have been looking at two areas, Morrisville and Greensboro.
If anyone could give me some small communities within those two areas that I should visit, It would be very helpful!
I have been on this site reading everyones advice about NC. in general. So I will try and give you what Im looking for.

First most important... Schools, as we have a 6yrold, 11yr.old and daughter entering college.(which she will decide her best fit)

We would love a small town feel, but still close to larger city.
we are middle class not looking for million dollar home but not low cost. We MAY consider renting for the first year, so we can easily move once we get to know the area better BUT do not want rental area(apt.townhouse ect..) still want a house in a good, safe, family area.

Now we do not have to stay with those two cities so please feel free to give any suggestions! I would VERY much appreciate any suggestions!! THANK YOU!! (Our trip to visit is planned for the week after July 4th.)

Mebane! Very affordable small town close to city amenities. It's between the Triangle and Triad so it's a great location. Twenty minutes to Durham and Chapel Hill, 30+ to Raleigh, and within 30 to Greensboro. I'm not familiar with the schools, I have heard those that are happy with them though. Just use the seach feature and you will find some talk about it. There's a lot to look at in both metros so, Good Luck!

P.S. You will get more responses in the Triangle and Triad forums.
