Hi there, I am financing a car in CA, but my son needs transportation in TN. I was planing in allowing him taking the car with him and I will continue making the payments in CA. Does any one knows if is possible to do this? Also how would the registration thing work?poo 8 Pl What about insurance? Thank you for your feed back.
You've posted your question in the North Carolina forum.
I am gifted a 2007 vehicle from New Mexico. All I have to do is pick it up and drive it back to Calif. Do I need to do anything before I go, other than insure it for the 12 hour drive home? I would like to get as much done prior to picking the vehicle up so it saves me time later. Thanks

Are you doing anything to it in North Carolina, if not your question relating to the two states mention would be better answered in the states you mentioned

First look at the DMV website. If that doesn't help, give them a call. As easy as it is to have a knee jerk reaction that you'll get sucked up into some bureaucratic vortex it's been my experience (even with out-of-the-ordinary transactions) the folks there really do try and be helpful.
My daughter lives in AZ and I live in California. Does the Title need to be notarized from her if she is gifting me the car?
You've posted this on the North Carolina Board. I'd suggest you contact the California DMV and ask them.
