They did help him fill out a waiver but told him they were not going to mail it til they get more and send them all at once.
how can it be $40? the MOST they can take out is 50% of the weekly amount???

beats me, last I heard he was on his way back to the local office. he normally gets $200 so 50% is $100. Unless they gave him a partial payment to begin with then took half.

my rep told me that because the reprogramming originally ran and FORGOT to include the Tier 2 bonus 14th week, that they just decided to adjust the adjustment and send out $ to people instead of re-re-running the program with it included.

Dunno, I know the local office told me that I was going to get a partial week yesterday, which i did. They also said that after next week I would be out of benefits period and that the payment would only be around $50. Then I decided to call Raleigh. The rep there said that I would be getting my partial week this week then next week it would go back to my regular amount. Funny thing is I owe $1800 in overpayments, why wouldn't they take half next week? She also said I have about 17 weeks left of benefits. Now why didn't the local rep tell me that? Or are they tweaking claims minute by minute?

So...

Continue collecting benefits and not seek work = still receive benefits each week, but half of the amount.

Finally find work and get a job = Cough up the balance of what you still owe...but hey, at least you found work!

Yeah, sounds fair...
