I live in Statesville. I am looking for a store that sells fabric and sewing accessories. I'm looking for a good variety of fabric and accessories and am not interested in buying on bolts.

I'm hoping not to travel too far to get to a fabric store.

Any info would be appreciated.

There's a large fabrics store in Winston-Salem, just off of I-40 near Hanes Mall. Here is their web site:

Thanks arbyunc for the info. I'll probably end up buying online from them as WS is a bit too far for me to go to (am disabled). I'm just surprised not to see something closer!

If Gastonia isn't too far for you, Mary Jo's is the best sewing center in the region.

Gastonia is just west of Charlotte. Mary Jo's is 32,000 sq. ft. It has a huge selection and good prices. It makes other stores (JoAnn's, Handcock, etc) look like the fabric section in Walmart. It's farther away than Winston but if you can get there, it's worth the drive. I think you can order stuff online as well.

Here is the website - Mary Jo's Cloth Store
There is a virtual tour - here

From Statesville 77 South to 85 South to exit #21 Cox Rd.
