there is no where in the US that doesn't have high taxes...I went lurking to other states and the common theme is too expensive to live, high taxes...it's amazing...and while some states have lower this or lower that, other things are higher and it balances out...I think we all need to find the best place to make money, then we can live just about anywhere.

Taxes I can deal with. But not with 500k starter houses in the hamptons. IN NC I can get like 5000sf for 500k. in the hamptons you get 700k. If you want to know really have crazy the hamptons are. People are selling mobile homes for over 200k and these are in the worst part of the hamptons.

The hamptons has gotten out of control...now there is a fear many will lose their homes near the water...IMO, the hamptons has always been for the rich and famous - Houses here on coming down, it may be a better fall and spring and many have come under the $500 mark - Funny though when we were re-assessed and the market went up, our taxes went up with it, I haven't seen my come down eventhough the prices have
