Hundreds of thousands of mamogram patients had their information sent to a UNC study without their consent . This includes social secuity numbers, date of birth, addresses, and phone numbers.
I have been told that the study gained an exception to the HIPPA
privacy laws by going before a UNC review board.
Now that information has been hacked/breeched making all these
people at risk who never consented to the study in the first place .

I wonder if a class action lawsuit is a possibility.
I am furious that someone decided it was okay to share my private information.
