I like Willmington N.C. a lot but the prices there are too high for me. I am single, retired, and looking for a small home (under 1100 feet if possible) for around $125.000. I would like a diverse community, as racially unsegrated as possible and friendly neighbors. Would Whiteville be a place I should research more fully.

Cool Whiteville N.c.

Whiteville Is VERY Pretty, A Clean City And Would Make A Very Nice Home For A Retiree. Our Son Lives There And Loves The People And The Area. Whiteville Is Only An Hour Away From Wilmington Or Myrtle Beach. I'am Retired And Would Feel Very Safe In Whiteville, The Wife And I Live In A Small Town Outside Of Charlotte N.C. In Stanly County (Only 50,000 People In The Whole County). Good Luck In Your Search.

Consider looking in Brunswick County. It's just south of Wilmington and close to everything - beaches - golf. Best of luck.
