It's probably best to post your question on those boards

Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary - Raleigh, Durham area

Coastal North Carolina - Wilmington area

9 million people live in NC, each doing their own thing; can you be a little more specific? Are you looking for quiet romance or loud clubs? Live bands or dance clubs or karaoke? Pretty much the same thing go on in NC for NYE as anywhere.

As the other poster said, you should go to the individual subforums for questions about Raleigh/durahm and Wilmington, but even then "What's going on in Wilmington?" is a pretty general question without saying what kind of "what" you're looking for.

Well...my logic is why flood each NC sub-forum with the same question when I can just ask it once in the general NC forum? *shrugs* seemed logical at the time.

I am being open-minded. Its a general question for a reason. So, what kind of events are going on for NYE in NC? By that I mean specific places/events whether that be at restaurant, club/lounge or whatever. If someone knows any events going on in the triangle/wilmington/charlotte area please share. Thanks.

Raleigh hosts First Night: First Night Raleigh 2010

We went to First Night 2008...it was fun. Lots of different activities & shows to see. And at midnight, it's a mini-NYC on a much tinier scale...right on Fayetteville Street!

My point was that most of the posters in the Triangle only read/post in that forum, ditto for Wilmington/Coastal and Charlotte. So actually "flooding" the three with questions about area X is the way to get the most "bites". Most of the questions in this "superforum" for the whole state deal with statewide issues, not individual regions. It seemed odd to me that you would have narrowed down your NYE to NC but not to a particular city??

Anyway, I still think asking in the specific regional forum will get you a lot more eyes reading your post who can help for THAT city.
