Filming in the state has already beat records -- set in 2011 -- with spending expected to top $300 million and create 3,3000 crew positions. Production has occurred in 30 of North Carolina's 100 counties so far this year.

State officials attribute the film boom, in part, to the state's film tax incentive. Under the incentive, productions receive a 25 percent refundable tax credit based on their direct in-state spending on goods, services and labor

I have 2 friends working as extras in Wilmington. One has been in "Revolution" & "Iron Man", and his wife has been an extra in the Nicholas Sparks film & "Iron Man."
