I must be missing something. DC is arguably the most European big city in the country and one of the most urban with a great mass transit system. What in the Triangle can compare to that? Perhaps you're referring to parts of NoVA like Tysons Corner and the like.

The Triangle is very similar to NOVA (on a some what smaller scale). DC is world class, more comparable to Chicago or San Fran. DC is a shining example of skyscrapers not making a city. There are well over 1 million people in DC's 60 sq mile area on any given business day. Talk about efficient!

Glad you liked it. Please share your pictures of Charlotte. I'm sure others would like to see the skyline, jailhouse and all.

Here is a link to half of Charlotte's skyline. The other half could not fit in the picture. There are eleven 20 plus floor buildings missing in this photo!!!

Just curious NRG. Can you name the buildings that are missing? I have counted 11 over 20 floors. How many do you see (or not see)?

just take a day/night picture of the skylines for each city then post them here with a poll to determine the best skyline.

Kind of redundant at this point. Again, I think most have already agreed that Charlotte has the best skyline in NC. Nobody on this thread is disputing that as far as I can tell. If you run a google search you can find various night shots of each city if you are still interested in looking at their skylines for the fun of it.
