Hi I'm thinking about moving to north carolina and want to find a small town in north carolina to live in (no more than 50,000 people) A place where the people are really kind and kids can live in. Preferably a town that is rural with farms. Also i dont live in places very well if there's high humidity and its constant.

THrow a dart at the NC map. You will likely find something within 20-45 minutes of where it hits...

Humidity is summer only...

Other wise the farther west of Raleigh---->the less humidity, but more COLD and SNOW possibilities..

There are probably about 500 such towns. You'll want to narrow it down by area. Do you want near the coast? Near the mountains? Near the piedmont cities?

Sadly, the majority of NC "small towns" are "drying up"--young kids are leaving for college and not coming back. Gangs taking over. NC has transitioned from a mostly agricultural economy to a biotech/research one, and farming was what kept those little towns going, tobacco farming in particular. Now that tobacco is used MUCH less frequently than it used to be, many of those little towns have NO "industry" keeping them afloat, and you'll find town after town of abandoned storefronts. Certainly, if you don't have the kind of job that you can work from home, you are very unlikely to find any work in most NC towns.

PS, NC and any Southeastern state is known for its high humidity, FYI
