Like I said before I am just doing my research I am not dead set on NC...
Go for it you have nothing to lose....NC will rebound Ohio will not...Ohio has long term economic decline and is a brain drain state...college graduates can't wait to leave much like I did once I graduated....formulate a plan and go for it.....
Since you aren't moving for awhile, I would suggest you visit different areas of NC before narrowing down a certain area. The state is varied on weather, temperatures, lay of land and local amenities. I am in the mountain town of Beech Mountain, very near the TN border. We love this area, coming from FL, due to the cool temperatures in the summer, moderate winters (normally, though this year we have received over 120" of snow), laid back lifestyle and hospitality of those who have lived here long enough to appreciate it all. However, driving mountain roads is not for everyone, especially if you have to drive in ice and snow...and you will, eventually, if you move here.
