Rugby ND info (Minot, Bottineau, Parshall: renting, house, place to live)

hi. i was looking at a house in Orrin ND (26 miles from rugby) was wondering if i could get some information about the area. im looking at renting out the place until i can move down there and was wondering if there are many people renting in that area. I know the boom in oil field workers has created a shortage in housing, was wondering in thats one of the areas that people would need a place to live.

That area is pretty desolate and is not in the area of the oil boom. Thus I would see little reason to invest in a house there. I have been in Rugby numerous times as we have friends in town and we travel between GF and Minot frequently. That area is good for bird and other hunting....but not much for residences.

Orrin, ND. How did you find that? As the statement above, the oil field has not come to Orrin or even to Rugby. The workers have hit Minot, Parshall, and as far Souris, by Bottineau. With the oil execs I talk to, they do not expect to go past Rugby nor go south of Rugby. At least not in the next 5 years. That is quite a drive, especially in weather like today, blowing snow and cold. brrrrr!
