My condolences and prayers go out to the victims family. I hope they find the rest of the body quickly.

We went through Cooperstown last summer on our way home from a family trip to Minnesota, visited the Oscar Zero missile site, had lunch in Cooperstown and visited some of the shops downtown and were impressed by everything there - clean, friendly, cute town. I'm sure this is a shock to everyone in and around the area.

Yes it is a terrible tragedy. Why on earth would someone do this? They said they dont think there was contact between the two prior to this. Random type violence such as this is very rare.

Yes, this is a terrible situation. You just never know...just shows we are not immune to the strange and dangerous here in North Dakota. One can only speculate, but since the suspects history from California indicates a history with drugs, one can assume he may have been on something that prompted him to do this violent crime (you hear about hallucinates and drugs that make people paranoid, and do and see weird things) ...but I guess time will tell.
