Although the 2012 senatorial elections are more than a year away, I was wondering if any of you think that Kent Conrad will be re-elected to the U.S. senate.

He's a big supporter of Obama and has supported many policies that most conservatives oppose including Obamacare, the stimulus package, DREAM Act, etc.

I'm also certain that Obama has low approval ratings in North Dakota.

Although he was re-elected by over 60% in 2006, what do you guys think will be Conrad's chances of winning re-election in 2012?

Depends who runs against him.

If there is a strong candidate I feel the results will be the same as with Pomeroy.

So now Conrad is not going to seek re-election. Guess he saw the unemployment handwriting on the wall.
