Does anyone have any info on skateboard parks in the Grand Forks area? We are moving from Duluth MN and have a 13 year old who loves skating. There is an indoor park in Duluth and a larger outdoor park in Superior WI. The only one I've found so far is in the south end of GF and it's very small.
I live and work in the greater Grand Forks area.....and there is currently one skateboard site. It is right off Demers Ave in near the center of town right behind two ice hockey rinks. They temporarily moved this park to the far south end of town but decided to move it back toward the center of town closer to where a majority of the users live. Travis did include pictures.
There are approved plans to either build another skate park or move and upgrade the current one to a park right near downtown, very near the police station. There was some discussion at the city council meeting regarding this place would be better able to be monitored by police. It was noted that when the park was in far south end of town away from things that they did have a discipline problem with some of the skaters.
