Minot and the AF base

Does anybody know if the AFB at Minot is either growing or downsizing?

You're gonna hate me, but I like to buy rental homes near military bases--that is, unless they're downsizing.

The downside with this kind of rental is the high turnover. But as a military brat myself, who grew up on and off bases, I like the idea of military families renting my home.

The airbase housing is exploding. Well, I should say that they are replacing all the existing homes there. There are building 550 new units in the next 5 years, they built around 400 last five years. The homes they are replacing are either transfered to some reservations, destroyed or I believe sold as well.

There are also plans at one time to make this a super base. The base would expand to about 3 times the size it is now. ct
