Hello,
I'm travelling to North Dakota next week and I'm worried about mosquitos! How big a problem are they ( I've read that they are a big problem in ND?) and what do local people use/buy to avoid being bitten to death. Can I but products containing DEET easily?
Many thanks
Carol

honestly, I haven't noticed a major problem near Minot and i'm outdoors a good bit. Some Manly OFF should do you fine unless you're going swamp camping. And mosquitoes are nothing compared to Adirondack black flies.
You don't have to worry about mosquitoes, the horse flies ate them all. Just kidding. This is the time of year when the dragonflies are out and munching on mosquitoes. You may find a skitter or two, but I am on the deck constantly without any spray. Out in the open field will be a different story.
