Not just the oil patch is in need of workers. I live in the Eastern part of N.D. and we are short on workers also. You name it pretty much all trades. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC, carpenters. Check Jamestown, Valley City, Fargo, Grand Forks, etc.....
The wages may not be as good as the oil patch, but the living conditions are much better. Housing is available, and much more affordable. Schools aren't crowded.
So if the oil patch isn't all that appealing, consider the rest of N.D.
